On-call support from 37 weeks to 42+ (until baby is born)
- What does on-call mean? It means I stay close to my home during the on-call time period to ensure I can get to you quickly. It means that if I am at my niece's birthday party and you call me for support, I will leave and come to you. It means that I have childcare prepared. Being on-call means that I have ensured that my schedule allows me to attend to you during this most important time in your life.
Birthing support (whether vaginal or surgical) from when we mutually agree it is a good time for me to join you (whether at your home or birthing place). Postpartum support for an hour or two to help establish breastfeeding and bonding, get you some food and tucked in as a new little family.
- Continuous support throughout your active birthing time. Fee covers up to *15 hrs of support & 1-2 hrs immediate postpartum. * Hours extending beyond are billed at an hourly rate, with fees capped at 30 hours.
One postpartum visit and frequent contact
- I will check-in with you the next couple of days after birth and sporadically beyond to see how you're doing and if you need any resources. HOWEVER, you can, of course contact me with whatever questions you may have. *NOTE: Certain packages add an additional postpartum visit several days after the birth
- The in-person visit is the "birth processing" where we discuss your birth experience, talk about how your support person assisted in your birth, talk about how your family is adjusting to a new baby (or maybe BABIES!) and to make sure you have all the resources you need. This appointment is done between three-six weeks postpartum
